Sinopsis / Synopsis:
Partially blind, grandmother Kim Nay depends on touch and sound to navigate her daily routine of eating, resting and listening to Khmer news. Time moves fluidly as Kim’s sense of self slowly begins to dilate, conjuring long-dormant memories.
Biografía / Biography:
Allison Chhorn is a Cambodian Australian film-maker with an Honours degree in Visual Arts from UniSA. Her work explores themes of migrant displacement, repetition and post-memory. The Plastic House (2019) was her first solo mid-length film which screened at Visions du Réel, New York Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival.
