Sinopsis / Synopsis:

It’s been two years since Claudette moved to a remote village in Armenia to take care of her bedridden mother. At this point, both facing and avoiding the inevitable loss has become her daily, messy routine. In World, Haroutounian skilfully takes us through the peculiarities and universality of grief.

Biografía / Biography:

Christine Haroutounian is a filmmaker, writer and producer working in Los Angeles and Armenia. She studied Art at UCLA and holds an MFA in Directing/Producing from the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television. Her first short film, Fixed Water (2019), had its world premiere in the Official Selection at Palm Springs International ShortFest and her second short film, World (2020), was selected again the following year. Haroutounian’s work has received several awards for artistic merit
