Sinopsis / Synopsis:
Carlota grew up surrounded by fear of men, of poverty, of the State. She learned and understood these fears as part of herself, as natural as air. Between her childhood’s home video archive, 8 mm film footage and visuals of the present, a dialogue ensues in order to identify some of the different types of violence that are assumed as a normal construction of her daily life.
Biografía / Biography:
Carlota Murillo studied film direction at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica. In 2019 she had the opportunity to be part of Cátedra's Ingmar Bergman “Disarm the right to violence” experimental film practice. She's one of the two coordinators of Cineastas Unidas, a social project focused on eliminating all kinds of violence against women at film industry.
